Set behind stone walls in Templepatrick amid extensive gardens, Castle Upton offers the perfect setting for a couple wishing
to get married. The premises are licensed for both civil and religious
ceremonies, and the castle's beautiful ballroom can accommodate up to
100 guests.
Castle Upton is the home of the Kinahan family.
Anna Kinahan runs the weddings and aims to make each day special in a
warm and relaxed atmosphere. Refreshments may be served on the day in
the Wedgwood-inspired dining room.
Following the wedding ceremony, drinks and
photographs, the entire bridal party generally moves on to one of the
many nearby hotels for their meal. However, occasionally a couple opts
to continue their celebrations in the magnificent surroundings and arranges
to have a marquee erected in the gardens.
The castle's beautiful gardens, surrounded by fields of grazing deer, provide one of Antrim's top locations
for wedding photographs...
Despite its rural setting, the castle can be found five minutes off the M2 motorway - just a quarter of an hour's drive from Belfast.
The Hilton and Templeton Hotels are both a mere two minutes by car, and
the Dunadry and Dunsilly Hotels about five minutes.
